BARBIE FORTEZA RELEASES SELF-TITLED DEBUT ALBUM

Barbie Forteza, who is she?. I finally meet this young girl who giggles and smile in between as she answers questions asked by bloggers last May 25 during a blogcon held at the MCA Music Inc Head Office in Ortigas.

“I am so thankful to MCA Music for trusting me and giving me a chance to share my talents. I can’t wait to share it to my fans that support me all the way,” Barbie said.
Barbie Forteza is just fifteen years (15) old and yet she had realized her dreams already. She has her shares of drama and problem and yet I could not find it affecting her view in life. She is responsive and yet still values the privacy of her life. A out going kid but knows where to stay and when to stay at home. I’m saying because , as mom of performing artist as well; I know how hard it is to jungle everything and yet keep your sanity and individuality as well.  With all the things happening to her, I appreciate the fact that she still maintains the sweetness of a teenage girl and yes she do go to school. She maybe a home school student but to still squeeze in your education in between taping and recording is something that I appreciate in an artist.  This girl is ready for anything, and that’s even to hold a microphone

After the success of being a lead teen actress in teleserye and movies, here she is now venturing a different field which she finds  she’s ready to do. She is known as one of the Philippines’ top teen stars whose popularity started with lead roles in highly rated GMA Network soap operas like “First Time”, “Pilyang Kerubin”, “Nita Negirta”, “Paroa: Ang Kuwento ni Mariposa” and the newly launched “Anna Karenina”. She has also appeared in top grossing movies such as “Ang Darling Kong Aswang”, “Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote”, “Tween Academy: Class of 2012”,  “The Road”, “Ang Panday 2” and “Sossy Problems”. She is also one of today’s most in-demand young endorsers.

And now, are you ready for Barbie Forteza because she is definitely ready to sing her heart to you. Now what used to be tween queen turned teen queen Barbie Forteza adds another facet to her young entertainment career—singing. She finally released her debut album under MCA Music (Universal Music Philippines).   Simply self-titled, the album fits Barbie’s personality perfectly- bubbly, fun and wholesome.

It includes the carrier single “Meron Ba” about having a crush on someone but could not tell anyone including the person she admires. Its music video is now out on MYX directed by J Pacena and also stars fellow GMA artist Jeric Gonzales as Barbie’s love interest. The album, produced by Francis Guevarra, also features her version of Jolina Magdangal’s “Laging Tapat”- another song about young love, the bouncy track “Upside Down” (originally from the A-Teens) and an original song “Wala Lang”- written by Jude Gitamondoc. “Wala Lang” also comes with a dance version for those who want to groove to Barbie’s music. All tracks have minus one version for those who want to sing-along to Barbie’s songs.

Barbie Forteza, the debut album, is now out on record stores nationwide under MCA Music (Universal Music Philippines). It is also available via iTunes and features the iTunes exclusive track “Wala Lang” (Pop Version).
