Merrell kicks in Summer with Out. Perform. Campaign

AllOut Collection

Taking learnings from minimalism, Merrell designs light and fast hiking and trail running shoes for Spring 2014. The new AllOut Collection features a flexible underfoot wrap that mobilizes the arch.  This unique design activates the body’s most natural form by creating continuous ground contact for increased mobility and efficiency. Core performance hiking and backpacking shoes are athletic in build but packed with Merrell’s tried and true performance technologies to meet the needs of modern day trail blazers.

AllOut – Unleash Your Best Run and Hike

From design inception to creation Merrell products are extensively tested in the lab and on the trail with the Rebound Physical Therapy Lab led by Jay Dicharry, MPT, CSC. Dicharry is a proponent of natural running form and efficiency. Through his work in-lab and with outside athletes, Dicharry explores running and on-trail movement to isolate ways to reduce stress on the body while increasing power and effectiveness.

The All Out Series has both hiking and running options. Key running styles include: AllOut Fuse, a hybrid running shoe built to transition from road to trail; and AllOut Rush, for the trail or ultra runner looking for a training or race shoe to go the distance. For hiking and backpacking AllOut Blaze includes a mid waterproof design, a low-cut waterproof design and a low-cut fast and light multi-sport shoe. 

In addition to arch activation, other key design features include the UniFly Impact Protection of ultra-resilient, strategically placed foam pads that provide a soft landing by dispersing impact and allowing for stable takeoff, ample ground feel and protection to go further, faster and longer. A unique M Select Grip outsole uses rubber that is built in a circular design that allows for each lug to move independently, providing multi-directional contact and increased surface area for a ride with animal-like agility. Whether backpacking, speed hiking or trail running AllOut supports the foot without inhibiting natural movement.

Performance Outdoor – New Multi-Sport and Hiking Shoes

Motivating an adrenaline-filled outside life on the trail, Merrell expands its core performance outdoor hiking program with new collections.

Allowing men to be boundless on the trail, Pulsate is a premium collection of hiking boots reminiscent of the iconic Moab with more protection to go further. New, sleeker and high quality leathers maintain modern-day outdoor relevance packed with the necessary performance. These high quality, durable uppers are matched with core performance Merrell technologies to provide the ultimate in performance outdoor hikers. An M Select Grip outsole with five-millimeter lugs is tuned with durable traction that grips where and when needed. M Select DRY is an impermeable membrane in the waterproof styles that seals out water and lets moisture escape to stay dry on the move.

Designed with a women’s-specific mentality, the Azura hiking collection blends sleek feminine sneaker style and color with the core performance she needs to tackle the mountain. Azura is a reflection of her. She looks beautiful, can take the heat and is strong to go the distance on the trail. Azura designs flaunt a butterfly shaped arch matched with a lighter outsole providing flexible, athletic responsiveness and intuitive control.
